pURLs
pURLs can be generated in a number of formats with the Boingnet application. The decision of which pURL style is based on preference, branding needs and ease of deployment.
Mailing list campaigns will be personalized down to the recipient: they will contain the recipients first and last name within the pURL
Non mailing list campaigns will be only be defined by a campaign name. These would be used in campaigns such as print ads, radio, TV, etc. where
you are marketing to a broader audience. Each option is outlined below:
Mailing List Campaigns
- http://First_Last.yourdomain.com/Campaign(optional) - This is the most common version of a pURL. It allows for maximum branding capabilities by
including your domain right in the pURL along with the recipient's first name and last name appended to the front. The campaign name is optional. It is generally used
when multiple campaigns are to be executed at one time on the same domain name.
An example pURL in this style: http://phil_jones.boinggo.com
- http://www.boingnet.com/Campaign/First_Last - This is the standard 'out of the box' pURL implementation. The pURL contains the Boingnet
domain along with the campaign name you defined in your creation wizard as well as each individual recipient's name
An example pURL in this style: http://www.boingnet.com/travel/Phil_Jones
- http://Subdomain.boingnet.com/Campaign/First_Last - This is a hybrid pURL solution that contains a subdomain for branding purposes
along with the campaign name you defined and the recipient's first and last names. You will have the option of creating this style of campaign in the creation wizard

Non Mailing List Campaigns
- http://www.yourdomain.com - This is simplest version of a non mailing list campaign. It allows maximum branding and ease of use as its just one domain with no other
elements to type in. This landing page has all the features and functionality of a mailing list landing page minus the personalization
An example pURL in this style: http://www.boingspot.com
- http://www.yourdomain.com/Campaign - This another version of a non mailing list campaign that leverages a campaign name. It allows maximum branding
as well as the ability to run multiple campaigns on a single domain. This landing page has all the features and functionality of a mailing list landing page minus the personalization
- http://Subdomain.boingnet.com/Campaign - This is the 'out of the box' non mailing list pURL implementation. The pURL contains the Boingnet
domain along with the campaign name you defined in your creation wizard. Users landing here will still be tracked and data can still be collected
