Template Editor
The template editor is a powerful tool for creating landing pages for your pURLs. With this tool, you will have the ability to:
- Insert variable data tokens that will be populated with your mailing list data
- Insert form elements such as text boxes, radio buttons, checkboxes, etc. to gather important data from your clients
- Create coupons with unique codes that can be printed by your clients
- Build redirects so tracking the client is possible yet they can be directed to an existing page on your site
- Create a branded look and feel to match that of your campaign
The template edit screen has four major sections:
- General Information - Here you define the template's name for internal use. You also define what type of template this is. This is an important step.
There are three template types; Form, Coupon and Redirect
- Form type will allow you to create a landing page that contains form fields for collecting data.
These fields could be textboxes, text areas, yes/no radio buttons, multiple choice radio buttons, dropdown lists, checkboxes and submit
buttons. You can add as many or as few form fields as you like. Any form field you create will be shown to the client and any information entered will be
saved for analysis within the reports section
- Coupon type will allow you to insert either a sequential or a random coupon code. This can be displayed with other variable data to make the coupon more personalized.
The user will have the ability once opened to print the coupon from their browser
- Redirect type allows you to define a URL the user will be sent to upon landing on the pURL. This is useful if you want to track but not do anything else with the user
- Additional Information - For form and coupon types this section offers a help section to get you to the right toolbar. In the redirect type
you will be prompted here with the URL to redirect to
Editor Toolbars - The top toolbar shown here is the main Boingnet toolbar. It contains all the
tools necessary to create dynamic, data gathering landing pages. The other toolbars are standard WYSIWYG editor toolbars. For more information on standard toolbar functions

- Main Content Area - This is where all the design, variable data, and form fields will be created. It is this editor area where you can create a template
from scratch, use one of our templates as a starting point, or import an existing web design from your site as a starting point. If you need assistance creating a template,

Boingnet Toolbar
The Boingnet toolbar contains all the tools necessary to insert variables, coupons and form data for use in your dynamic landing pages.
As you select the template type from the drop down in the general information area, certain toolbars will be disabled that are not relevant to that
template type. Below is a brief explanation of each toolbar item
Variable Fields -
Use this to insert any piece of variable data you wish to appear on the landing page. This can be any data that was in your mailing list file.
The variable field will be inserted as %Variable%. When the landing page is generated on a pURL visit, this variable token will be replaced by the actual
variable data for this recipient
Text Box / Text Area / Checkbox
You will be prompted to supply a label for each of these form types. The label will be used in the reports section so be sure to give it a recognizable
name. The label will also be generated as text before the element. This text can be modified once it is in the editor
Dropdown
You will be prompted to supply a label and an items list for the dropdown element. The list should be separated by commas. This list will define what
is displayed as dropdown items. The label will be used in the reports section so be sure to give it a recognizable
name. The label will also be generated as text before the element. This text can be modified once it is in the editor
Yes/No and a/b/c/d/ radios
You will be prompted to supply a question for the radio elements. The question will be used in the reports section. The label will also be generated as text before the element.
This text can be modified once it is in the editor
Button
It is necessary to supply a button with all form templates. The button popup will prompt you for a button name. Once entered, the button will be generated with that name embedded.
Coupon
Use this to insert coupon codes into a coupon template. You have the choice to insert a random coupon code or a sequential coupon code
